<p> "100년에 한번 나올만한 귀한 관상을 가지셨네요. 올해 대기업에 취업할 운이시네요. 그런데 인덕이 부족해서 큰일이네요" 길거리를 걸어가다보면 누군가 다가와 지나가는 행인에게 말을 건다. 행여나 관심을 갖게 되면 그들은 현란한 말솜씨로 이들을 유혹한다. 그리고 사당에 가서 잡귀를 떨쳐보라고 조언한다. 심지어 조상께 치성을 드리면 복을 받는다고 말한다. 이들은 왜 처음 보는 일반인들에게 이런말을 하는걸까? MBN `시사기획맥` 취재팀은 길거리에서 일반인들에게 "도를 아십니까"를 외치는 도인들을 따라가 보기로 했다. 그러나 생각보다 쉽지 않았다. 2인 1조가 돼 움직이는 도인들은 모든 사람에게 말을 거는 것이 아니였기 때문이다. 도인이 오기를 기다렸지만 끝내 첫날은 실패했다. 21일 오후 퇴근시간, 도인이 자주 출몰한다는 서울의 한 길거리를 가봤다. 드디어 도인들이 취재진에 다가왔다. 예상대로 그는 "안녕하세요, 잠깐 실례 좀 할게요 학생이세요. 인상이 너무 좋으세요" 친절하게 말한다. 취재진이 학생이라고 밝히자 도인은 계속 말을 이어간다. "인복은 많은데 인덕이 없는데요 조상 공덕이라는 게 있고 하늘의 천덕이라는게 있어요 조상이 돕고 하늘이 도와서 아가씨 앞에 저희가 온 거예요" 취재진이 `관상을 보시는 건가요?`하고 묻자. `시간 있으면 차 한잔 베풀수 있겠냐`고 되 묻는다. 취재진은 도인과 함께 커피숍에 갔다. 그러나 덕담을 해주겠다는 말과 달리 갑자기 조상 이야기를 시작한다. "병 없이 안방에서 편안히 가야 되는데 요양원에서 죽고, 길 가다 사고로 죽고, 호상이 없어요. 집에사 잘 안죽어요" 그러면서 "태어나는 데 순서 있어도 죽을 때는 순서가 없어요. 그게 조상이에요. 중천에 힘들게 떠돌고 계신 조상님들 좀 도와주세요"라고 말을 이어간다. 취재진이 어떻게 하면 되냐고 묻자, 도인은 `제사`를 지내야 한다고 해결책을 제시한다. 그는 그리고 "제사를 지내는 곳은 제가 지내고 있는 공부방인데 술도 따라주고 하면 약 40분이 걸린다"고 말했다. 도인은 제사를 지내기 위해 안양에 위치한 공부방에 취재진을 데리고 갔다. 간판 없는 허름한 건물을 들어가니 제사를 드리는 사람이 많은지 벗어 놓은 신발도 어지럽게 있었다. 내부로 들어가자 한 무리의 사람이 모여 앉아 이야기를 나누고 있었다. 취재진이 제사를 드리기 위해 간 곳에는 또 다른 도인이 있었다. 이 도인은 취재진에 봉투를 줬다. 제사 명목으로 돈을 요구하는 것이다. 취재진은 `얼마나 드리면 되느냐` 묻는다. 일정 금액을 봉투에 넣자 제사 준비에 들어간다. 사전에 한복으로 갈아입고 절을 배운다. 연습한지 30여분이 지나자 한 여성 도인이 일어나 조상을 부르고 주문을 외운다. 약 1시간 정도 제사를 지내고는 도인이 취재진에게 효과를 설명한다. 그리고 처음에는 제사를 한 번 드리면 된다고 하던 도인, 말을 바꾼다. 원래 한번 하는 건데 여기에 오는 20일 동안은 정성을 들여야 한다는 것이다. 또 비용이라는 것은 마음이고 돈을 내는 건 내마음을 주는 것이라고 그는 말했다. 결국 덕담을 해준다는 도인은 제사와 정성을 명목으로 돈을 요구한 것이다. 한편 `시사기획 맥`은 이와 함께 최근 사회적으로 문제가 되는 `자살 동반자`에 대해 심층 취재했다. 두 번이나 자살을 시도한 19세 고등학생 사연을 들어보고 동반자살 희망자들도 만나봤다. 한 동반자살 희망자는 "현금만 떨어지면 바로 자살할 것"이라며 "차 안에 번개탄과 수면제가 있다"고 토로했다. 그는 계속 `억울하다`는 말만 되풀이했다. 하규섭 분당서울대학병원 정신건강의학과 교수는 "대부분의 경우 자살이라는 게 여러가지 심리적인 원인이 있지만 가장 공통적인 것 중 하나는 이것도 표현의 수단이라는 것"이라며 "`겁난다` `도와달라` `억울하다` `화난다` 등의 표현을 건강하지 못한 방법으로 표출하는 것"이라고 분석했다. 하 교수는 이어 "자살이라는 잘못된 판단과 선택이 전염성을 가지고 있는 것 같다"며 "그래서 유명연예인이 사망한 다음 똑같은 방법으로 자살을 시도하는 사람이 대표적인 예"라고 설명했다.</p>
